In the periodical Ha'asif there appears an obituary for the Bais HaLevy upon his petira. Among the great achievement and accomplishments of his nebulae-like life it mentions his relation to (what was then known as) the Palestinian Settlement.

It is, however, worth pointing out that the paragraph begins with an elaboration on his 'peaceful ways and ability to get along with everyone. Did Sokolov, the editor of Ha'sif, have an agenda to promte?
